Grounding & Bonding

When it comes to proper grounding, it can be pretty overwhelming. Do yourself and your love ones a favor, have a professional inspection done.

Infrared Scanning

Electrical infrared inspections find hot spots caused by defects in connections and components. Increased resistance and heat are the primary reasons most electrical components fail. … Infrared scanning is used to inspect electrical equipment because excess heat is usually the first sign of trouble.

GFCI Receptacles

Did you know that GFCI receptacles have a life expectancy of 15 to 25 years? How old is your home? Does your GFCI seem to trip all the time? Does it never reset? You may have a faulty outlet.
Yes, we all have hate these safety devices as they seem to trip all the time for just about nothing. Hopefully there will be never a day you’ll need to rely on a GFCI but if you do, it will be your best friend! More like a lifesaver!! Let GoPower Electric inspect the safety features of your home.

Arc Fault Protection Interrupter

An AFCI is a product that is designed to detect a wide range of arcing electrical faults to help reduce the electrical system from being an ignition source of a fire. Conventional over-current protective devices do not detect low level hazardous arcing currents that have the potential to initiate electrical fires. In 2017 the NEC (National Electric Code) has made AFCI mandatory in guest rooms and circuits supplying outlets and devices in your home. Have you updated your home to meet the new codes?

Circuit Panel Inspections

Have GoPower Electric do a “load test” on your electrical service. Load tests can identify overloaded circuits which can cause a fire due to overheating. In many cases a homeowner will not know there is a problem with a circuit until it is too late. The load test will also determine what amperage is available for additional equipment that can be added to the electrical system,
like a EV Charger.

Did You Know?

Fire is the number one hazard when it comes to EVSE installations. While fire can be caused by a variety of reasons, the most common cause is outdated electrical wiring and power supplies within the building or structure where the charger is installed. All electrical wiring should meet the EVSE’s charging requirements and should be compatible with each of the equipment’s technical specifications, regardless of whether it’s a Level 1 or Level 2 charger. For example, a standard 32A wall-mount AC charger requires a voltage range of 110V-240V and 32A of charging power. Once mounted onto a wall, the charger is then connected to the structure’s power source or grid, which must be able to support the charging system’s specifications to transfer the AC power safely and successfully to the vehicle during charging. Without the proper electrical support, the charger could overheat and cause a failure.
